IT'S WEEKEND, LET'S TAKE A BACK SEAT AND RELAX!

For once, NO-ART topic for this weekend and would like to introduce my pet fishes :) My mini aquarium on the top houses a tank of 11 White Cloud Mountains. They are one of the hardiest fishes and originated from China. They are extremely active and sits together with me on my desk. They are a pretty sight to have just for a moment of relaxation away from painting.

And this pretty violet fella is a betta fish aka Siamese fighting fish - originated from Thailand. I named him Mogi. I had him from dad's friend (who's a breeder) when he was still a baby. Up to date, he has grown so much. Mogi is such a sweetheart :) Each time i calls his name, he swims up to me, wriggling and swimming around in excitement! Mogi is very interactive and he is definately my favourite boy! :)

I just received my copy of the magazine.

"Preparation" was selected and published in XrossRoads Magazine for 2011 Sept / Oct issue - Teachers' Day tribute page. Imprinted with it a beautiful poem specially dedicated to all teachers for their sincere effort in nurturing the country's generations!

THE KOI FISH - is believed to be very powerful symbol of good luck, abundance and prosperity. Apart from their natural beauty, they signifies strong friendship, love and loyalty; carrying with it traits of masculinity, strength, courage and individualism. They symbolises success and achievements. With water as a universal undertone of purification and circulation, the two combined forced are able to attract high energy and manifest in forms of prosperity of all kinds in our lives.

This is a relatively small piece just 8 x 8" and also my Koi Project #1 piece. The attempt to paint this was fun and full of challenge. The freedom and swiftness of the species inspire me greatly.

Design Concept :
Physioclinic’s logo was design based on the nature of the business. The birth of the idea was from a spine and further extending its growth into a plant / leaf (which meant wellness). It functions as a strong identity carrying a positive value that signifies – “Spiral to an Overall Wellness.”

FInally!! :) After one week of brainstorming and trying, the logo is finally "solidly" out!! Just that alittle more colour adjustment is needed to make the whole logo more vibrant and outstanding and i'm done with it! What a challenge indeed. :)

Design Concept :

I came up with this logo using the idea of a butterfly by client's request. The 4 requested colours as a base of a house window, the butterfly is formed by 2 hearts linking one another. The "feelers" in black as it gives an impression of an adult and a child. Thus, the overall concept is " Here at Discovery Garden, your child is guided with care and love that molds their potential".
